Secure Connectivity

Protection without the perimeter

CBTS builds connectivity and security as one managed system, protecting every site, cloud, and remote user.

The Challenge

Work left the perimeter. Did your security stay behind?

Your people, applications, and data no longer operate behind a single perimeter. Your security can’t, either. Yet backhauling everything to a central data center for inspection adds latency and cost. And bolting point security products onto a flat network leaves gaps.

What organizations need is connectivity and security designed together, enforced close to the user and workload, and managed as a single, cohesive system.

The CBTS approach

Connectivity and security, designed together

CBTS delivers connectivity and security as one managed capability, enabling distributed organizations to protect every site, cloud, and remote user without stitching separate products together. Managed firewall, secure SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SASE, and MSSP services operate as one, enforced at the edge near users and workloads.

We assess traffic flows and design the SD-WAN, SASE, or SSE architecture that fits your environment and compliance needs. Then we deploy it on the same staged, automation-driven model as our managed networking and run it together with in-house teams and 24x7 coverage. Backed by partners like Palo Alto Networks and our own 700+ certified engineers, we provide one accountable team for the network and its defense.

Secure Connectivity capabilities

CBTS helps organizations connect and protect resources as one managed system.

What success looks like

Done right, secure connectivity shows up as both speed and safety: less latency, fewer gaps, and faster incident response.

Reduced risk

Replace implicit network trust with per-user, per-application access, and enforce security at the edge so there’s no flat network to move across. Close gaps with infrastructure and security operations run by one accountable team.

Improved productivity

Remote and hybrid workers reach cloud and private apps directly. Security follows the user instead of anchoring them to a perimeter, so protection never comes at the cost of performance.

Operational excellence

Run one managed system instead of reconciling separate networking and security stacks. Infrastructure and security operations move together under 24x7, U.S.-based coverage, shrinking blind spots and response time.

In a regulated environment, what’s dangerous isn’t any single product. It’s the space between them. We built our practice so the network and its security are integrated, eliminating the ‘seam’ where risk lives.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between SASE and SSE? SASE (secure access service edge) converges networking and security into one cloud-delivered architecture, combining SD-WAN with security service edge capabilities. SSE (security service edge) is the security half of that model: secure web gateway, cloud access security broker, and zero trust network access, without the SD-WAN networking component. In short, SSE plus SD-WAN equals SASE. CBTS delivers and manages all three, and helps you determine whether you need the full SASE architecture or the SSE security layer on an existing network.
What is managed SD-WAN?

Managed SD-WAN is software-defined wide area networking delivered and operated as a service. It routes traffic intelligently across multiple transport types for better performance and resilience, applies centralized policy across every site, and improves visibility into the network. As a managed SD-WAN provider, CBTS designs, deploys, and operates the environment with in-house teams and around-the-clock coverage, so your organization gets the benefits of SD-WAN without having to build and staff the capability internally.

What is zero trust network access (ZTNA)? Zero trust network access (ZTNA) grants access to applications based on verified identity and context rather than on whether a user is inside the network perimeter. Each request is evaluated individually, and users reach only the specific applications they are authorized to use rather than the whole network. CBTS delivers ZTNA as part of its SSE and SASE offerings, replacing implicit network trust with per-application access that suits a distributed, cloud-first workforce.
Why move security to the edge instead of the data center? When applications live in the cloud and users work from anywhere, routing all traffic back to a central data center for inspection adds latency and cost and no longer matches how work happens. Enforcing security at the edge, close to the user and the workload, removes that detour while applying consistent policy everywhere. CBTS secure connectivity services deliver edge-enforced security through SASE and SSE, so protection follows users and applications rather than depending on a perimeter that no longer exists.
